In-Depth Protection Assessment Report, (Amran City, Khamir, Kharif and Raydah) districts of Amran governorate(UNHCR,SCI) - August, 2015

Subject/Objective: 

In response to the humanitarian situation in Yemen and to inform decision making for marginalised IDPs in Amran Governorate.

Methodology: 

The assessment was conducted through household level interviews with heads of families.

Key findings: 

- IDPs from the marginalized community Amran are in need of food security and livelihood programmes.
- There is a major need for shelter and non-food items and rehabilitation of existing shelters.
- Psychosocial services are required and it is suggested the establishment of a centre where such services can be provided.
- There is an acute need for awareness raising on WASH with a focus on personal and general hygiene.
- Services are needed for children in order to protect them from abuse and possible harmful practices.
