Nigeria - Borno State, North-East Flash Update No. 1 - Displacement to Rann town 27 February 2019

At least 10,000 refugees reportedly returned to Rann town, Kala/Balge local government area, from Cameroon today, 27 February 2019. These civilians are among 40,386[1] Nigerian women, men and children who originally fled Rann following deadly attacks in December 2018 and January 2019.

Reports from sources on the ground indicate that hundreds more are en route to Rann from Cameroon (8 kilometers) by foot. All these people are in dire need of humanitarian assistance, including shelter, food and safe water.
