WASH cholera - Trip report in Guinea and Sierra Leone (26 March - 5 April)

In the framework of the current 2012 cross-border cholera outbreak in Guinea and Sierra Leone, a joint regional ECHO/UNICEF mission was decided to target the evaluation of the impact of the cholera preparedness projects in Guinea on the cholera response as well as recommendations for Sierra Leone. As a matter of fact, the cholera outbreak has started during the dry season,
following the similar operative scheme than the outbreak which occurred in the same sub-regional area in 2006/2007, with a classic potential explosion to expect during the upcoming rainy season.
