Education Needs Assessment Iraq, KRI, Dohuk Governorate, Amedi District

Sujet/Objectif: 

To identify the needs and reach all out of school children that are most vulnerable in Amedi District.

Méthodologie: 

Need assessment with the district head of education was carried out, then followed by a rapid assessment with 13 school principals and a questionnaire with 66 students (5th and 6th grade) using the Kobo collect tool and data was directly uploaded to the database. The schools located in Zawita, Baqara, Ashawa, Sarsink, Qadish, Ibrahim Zalla, Amedi and Sheladize were assessed. The assessment in terms of food, NFI, health and cash was carried out by national staff with proved experience with the use of Education cluster assessment for the Department of Education (DoE) Key Informants.

Principales constatations: 

Much findings as summarized in the report were made in this assessment in terms of:
- Transport
- Buildings
- WASH facilities
- Psychosocial support
- Teaching staff
- Vulnerable groups
- Recreational activities at school
- Community commitment
