Cash for Rent / Shelter Feasibility Assessment Report - IOM 2019
Cash for Rent / Shelter Feasibility Assessment Report - IOM 2019
The assessment employed a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) to gather different types of data from a range of sources. A three-stage sampling technique was employed to select the sample households. First, three woredas (Deder, Goro Gutu and Babile) were selected based on the number of potential beneficiaries for cash for rent/shelter interventions and their prioritization by the Shelter and NFI Cluster. Next, five kebeles were selected using the same prioritizing method applied at woreda level. Finally, 589 sample households were randomly selected from each woreda using a systematic random sampling technique2. Data collection for this assessment took place from 16-21 June 2019 and was carried out by 8 local enumerators (One women) trained by IOM.
