Joint Needs Assessment of Conflict IDPs in Khaskunar, Chawkay, Sarkani, and Narang Districts of Kunar province

Principales constatations: 

The overall food security situation is precarious. All IDP HHs have reported that they lost their income after the shock. All IDPs families have adopted coping mechanisms to procure food. 56 % of families have debts higher than 8000 AFN.
 Summary of food stock of the IDPs are listed below:
o 7 HHs of the IDPs families reported that they have less than 1 week food stock
o 2 HHs of the IDPs family reported that they have no food stock
This will lead to more food insecurity. All the HHs need for food to avoid malnutrition especially for children’s.

Recommendation:
Cash for food is recommended to purchase food for their family members.
