INTER-AGENCY ASSESSMENT REPORT: Sortony, Kebkabiya Locality, North Darfur State - 2-4 Feb 2016
Assess the humanitarian needs in the area following the arrival of thousands of displaced people from different villages in Central and North Darfur states.
Approximately 3,687 (17 per cent) of the IDPs (21,690 ind.) are children between 6-59 months of age. Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) are 1,735. The two together (U-5 children + PLW) account for almost 25 per cent of the IDPs.
There is no any health partner on the ground to provide health services including reproductive health (RH) services.
An estimated 5,000 families need health services. Among the IDPs, there are nine (9) trained health promoters and nutritionists.
Big number of People with Specific Needs (PSN) observed among the new arrivals.
There is high demand to NFIs, especially blankets due to wintertime.
