IRNA Report: Mundri East


Humanitarian partners travelled from 12 – 16 April and launched a response and Inter-agency Rapid Needs Assessment (IRNA) mission in Lakamadi, Lozoh and Kediba in Mundri East County.

Resultados principales: 

Mundri East has experienced insecurity since May 2015. Lozoh has seen differing levels of insecurity over the past 10 months, but renewed fighting in mid-February saw destruction and looting of personal property and the health facility. It was reported by the community that up to 10 miles around Lozoh was burnt, including all crops, thousands of people remained displaced and in need of humanitarian assistance. Lakamadi and Kediba were key areas where many people from Mundri East county displaced to during the previous 10 months. Communities highlighted the following priority needs: food and agricultural inputs (seeds and tools); healthcare, education and shelter.
