Mauritania COD Services now Live!

During last weeks of august. ITOS has been working to finalize the cleaning of the Mauritania settlement COD layer. After completing the evaluation and the review of the datasets, ITOS presented a refined version of the layer to the OCHA ROWCA office. Upon a last teleconference to define minor doubts, ITOS presented the final candidate layer of populated places for Mauritania.

IMPACT: Information Management Preparedness and Coordination Training, Middle East and North Africa
The first IMPACT training will be organziaed in Cairo in September 2015. The COD service update process will be presented and discussed as part of the session on day 3.
COD services update process launch!

In august 2015 ad as part of the strategy of moving all COD from Humanitarianresponso.info website to the new HDX.com platform, OCHA FIS decided to give an extra push to update the Common operation Datasets (COD) in order to have the better accessible data for all countries
As the HDX migration process will be taking some months, the COD service update process will work in parallel without interfering, but strategizing enough to accomplish the objective of have clean interoperable and open access datasets available.
