Relevance of human rights recommendations in responding to the pandemic

Dear colleagues,

Please find attached an infographic on Ukraine, which contains the most relevant recommendations issued by human rights mechanisms related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The recommendations are clustered by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The document is in Ukrainian, English and Russian.

This is a project run by the Universal Periodic Review branch of OHCHR in Geneva. Such infographics have been produced on about 30 countries, including Ukraine. The infographic provides for an intuitive, yet comprehensive country-focus overview, aligning the relevant recommendations with SDGs.

‘Read’ through the COVID-19 lens and packaged in a graphically-appealing format, we trust that the recommendations formulated  in recent years by the Treaty Bodies, Universal Periodic Review, SPs and other HRC’s mechanisms can help partners design inclusive and sustainable responses – thus placing human rights at the centre of the COVID-19 response and supporting national strategies for building back better.
