WASH Cluster Incident Report №212, 03/09/2019


Voda Donbasa (VD) informed the WASH Cluster that during the evening of September 1st (from 17:40 to 18:00) the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) at Golmovskiy town was surrounded by shelling and was at risk of being hit. Fortunately, there was no damage to the WWTP.
This is the third WASH Incident since the renewed ceasefire agreement (on 21st July), which represents a drop in the rate of incidents since that time. In 2019 there have been 67 incidents to date, on average nine per month. During the same period last year there were 7 Incidents.
As of today, 3rd September 2019 Golmovskiy WWTP continues to operate in normal mode, receiving and treating wastewater from 7800 people.
