INTER-AGENCY ASSESSMENT REPORT: Abu Sinaidira, El Ferdous Locality, East Darfur 03 July, 2016

Subject/Objective: 
To assess the humanitarian needs of the newly arrived South Sudanese from Raja, South Sudan.
Key findings: 
About 6,000 South Sudanese have arrived in Abu Sinaidira village in El Ferdous locality. The majority of the new arrivals are women and children. Critical needs are reported in all sectors with food and nutrition being the priorities. High malnutrition rates were recorded from the MUAC conducted which surpassed the WHO threshold of <15%. The water situation is dire and sanitation requires immediate intervention due to impending rains which could increase communicable diseases.
