Inter-Agency Assessment Mission to Funga Suk Village, North Jebel Marra, Rokero locality 11 November 2015

The methodology includes physical observation, physical visits of surrounding homes and interviews with a number of respondents.

Key findings: 

- According to the local leaders, there are 3,229 school-aged children in the area of whom only 243 are enrolled in one of the two basic schools in the area.
- Nearly 17,875 people (3,600 households) in Funga Suk village and the two neighboring villages of Aday and Auira are in need of immediate shelter and NFIs.
- 17,875 people (3,575 households) are in need of immediate food assistance.
- It was not possible to establish the nutrition situation in Funga Suk as no nutrition surveys have been conducted in the area in recent times. During the mission, MUAC screening was done for only 10 U-5 children due to limited time on ground. Results showed that one child was severely malnourished, one was moderately malnourished and 3 children had diarrhea.
- Some 20 women reportedly lost their lives when fleeing from the fighting.
