Multisector Data Collection Initiatives
Three multisector data collection initiatives are working from Turkey and collecting sector data from Syria.
- Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM), a joint initiative of IOM and OCHA
- Dynamic Monitoring Report (DYNAMO), an initiative of Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU)
- Humanitarian Trends Analysis Unit (HTAU) report, an initiative of NGO Forum
Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM)
- Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM) is a set of tools and methods used to track and assess populations within Syria.
- NPM regularly collect and verify population data at the community level, and provide humanitarian clusters and key stakeholders with baseline information and indicators to address priority needs, and required humanitarian interventions

Dynamic Monitoring Report (DYNAMO)
ACU Information Management Unit (IMU) collects multisector data through key informants and shares the report regularly.

Humanitarian Trends Analysis Report
The Humanitarian Trends Analysis Unit (HTAU) is a research unit of the NGO Forum for NGOs Operating in Northern Syria. The HTAU goals are 1) To inform humanitarian programming in order to develop more effective humanitarian and protection responses; and 2) To provide evidence for advocacy activities of the humanitarian community operating throughout the region
