South Sudan: Humanitarian Dashboard (as of 30 Sep 2017)

Situation Overview
In September, fighting and insecurity continued to displace civilians, particularly in Unity and Upper Nile. Many of those have been displaced several times. The number of South Sudanese people who fled as refugees to neighbouring countries continued to grow. In total, nearly 4 million people have been uprooted.
Humanitarian partners have provided assistance and protection to about 4.7 million people across South Sudan since January 2017. This includes: 4.3 million reached with  ood assistance and emergency livelihoods; more than 2.1 million provided with access to clean water; nearly 749,000 assisted with vital non-food items, including blankets and mosquito nets; over 624,000 children and pregnant and lactating  omen provided with emergency nutritional assistance; more than 350,000 children supported with access to education in emergencies; and more than 686,000 people received mine awareness education.
After months of access restrictions, humanitarians were able to reach over 16,600 in the Baggari area, outside Wau,
Western Bahr el Ghazal, in August and September.
