Tonj East and Tonj South Multi-cluster Rapid Needs Assessment

Subject/Objective: 
  1. To assess the damage caused by recent conflict and the displacement of people
  2. To understand the security situation as well as humanitarian needs of the displaced people.
Methodology: 
  1. Key informant interviews with local authorities such as RRC, Boma representatives, chiefs and IDPs community leaders.
  2. Direct observation during field mission visited to some areas of displaced population and conflict affected villages.
Key findings: 

People are displaced and integrated within communities. A small number of IDPs are found to be occupying a school in Babchok. Houses were burnt. Cattle and household property looted. Key priority needs are; Food and physical protection, shelter/NFI,WASH and Health.
