Initial Investigation of displacement of 75 HH from JONDOKI APRIL 2013

Subject/Objective: 

1. Confirm the presence of the displaced persons in Lopope and Kwerijik villages.
2. Establish the extent of the shock and determine the effect on the livelihoods of the affected population.
3. Assess and establish level of the humanitarian need for the victims of the situation, taking into consideration basic needs such as water, food, shelter and health services.

Methodology: 

1. Observation and field visit to affected locations
2. Community discussion with affected population
3. Talking to key informnants
4. MEDAIR AND RRC report were used as secondary source

Key findings: 

1. The team confirmed that a population was displaced from Jondoki to various locations
2. The team found about 11 households without shelter and they were camping under the trees
3. The most vulnerable population among the displaced is those who were found to be camping under the trees. Children and elderly persons are most likely to be affecting with change of whether.
