SMART Survey

Subject/Objective: 
The aim of the SMART survey was to estimate the prevalence of acute malnutrition among children from 6 to 59 months old, among Mogadishu IDP and Urban Poor communities
Methodology: 
The standard, global SMART (Standardized Monitoring and Assessment of Relief and Transition) methodology was used to conduct the survey.
Key findings: 
Afgoye IDP Population:GAM 16.6%, SAM 4.0%, U5MR 1.84, CMR 0.73, Measles 28.27%, Vitamin A 33.32%, Deworming 30.6%, Morbodity 15.51#. Afgoye Urban Population GAM 12.0%, SAM 2.3%, U5MR 2.63, CMR 1.11, Measles 54.44%, Vitamin A 38.66%, Deworming 48.87%, Morbidity 22.86%.
