Referral Pathway for Child Protection (CP) and Gender-Based Violene (GBV) in COVID-19 context | BARMM Philippines

WHAT IS THE CHILD PROTECTION AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE REFERRAL PATHWAY?

With the lead of Ministry of Social Services and Development, the referral pathway aims to provide direction and guidance to survivors and/or witnesses of CP issues and GBV by outlining the types of abuses, neglect, and exploitation that should be reported by the community. It also targets service providers to ensure delivery of appropriate services is done on:

1. Timely

2. Gender-sensitive and

3. Child-friendly manner to ensure safety, recovery and reintegration of the survivor.

In additonal, given the impact of COVID-19 , individuals with symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection are included as cases that can be reported. This is to ensure that they will be provided with proper services and and to ensure the safety and prevention of the community.
