Based on the qualitative assessment, the mission drew up a conclusion that this cropping season rice yield is expected to drop by 20% due to a number of contributing factors including erratic nature of rainfall and less support from agricultural stakeholders. With regard to cassava, a slight increment of 1.5% is expected.
