Iraq: Humanitarian Access Severity Overview (July 2019)

Of 6.7 million people in need of humanitarian assistance in Iraq, approximately 1.9 million (317,000 IDPs) are estimated to be living in districts with moderate to high access constraints in the governorates of Al-Anbar, Baghdad, Diyala, Kirkuk, Ninewa and Salah Al-Din. Of the 30 districts prioritized for humanitarian action in the 2019 HRP, 11 districts (37 per cent)—within the governorates of Diyala, Kirkuk, Ninewa and Salah Al-Din—are perceived to have moderate to high access constraints; more than 937,000 people in need reside within these districts, including more than 194,000 IDPs.
