SAHEL CRISIS : Population Movement (as of 09 May 2018)

Across the Sahel region, more than five million people are facing the consequences of forced displacement. Persistent instability in northern Mali, violence and insecurity in the Lake Chad Basin, and the impact of the conflict in the neighbouring Central African Republic continue to cause new population displacements and hinder the return of displaced people to their homes.
