Afghanistan: Snapshot of Population Movements (as of 14 March 2019)

In 2019, one of the main drivers of humanitarian needs in Afghanistan is displacement due to conflict and natural disaster. More than 36,000 people have been forced from their homes this year
due to fighting. Many of these people remain in displaced across the country, as conflict prevents them from returning to their areas of origin. Almost 62,400 Afghan citizens returned from
Pakistan and Iran to Afghanistan in 2019.
