CHF Afghanistan - Gender Marker Guidance

Highlights:

The purpose of this guiding document is to support AHF partner in considering gender equality and gender mainstreaming in the elaboration of their projects. The IASC Gender Marker is a tool that codes, on a 2-0 scales, whether or not a humanitarian project is designed to ensure that women, men, boys and girls of all ages will benefit equally from the intervention. The purpose of gender codes is to increase gender equality projects and enhance their effectiveness. The IASC Gender Marker is required for all AHF funded projects. The gender review process will be carried on after the project proposal submission phase by HFU OCHA team in collaboration with the GenCap in Afghanistan and UNWOMEN staff, correcting the gender code which has been selected by the organization.
