Afghanistan Weekly Field Report | 26 February - 4 March 2018

  • Since the beginning of the year, more than 20,000 people have been displaced by conflict across Afghanistan.
  • According to initial reports, 4,500 people have been displaced within Wardak following clashes between an armed group and a pro-Government militia.
  • In the past week, 483 people returned from Pakistan to Afghanistan, 5,105 people returned from Iran and 9,510 were deported.
  • During the past week, more than 50,000 people have received some form humanitarian assistance across the country.
  • Members of an armed group reportedly entered a health facility in Chaparhar, Nangarhar, on 24 February and took some medicine and furniture.
