  • More than 10,000 Afghan citizens were deported from Iran last week, nearly 5,00 returned spontaneously.
  • During the past week, more than 50,000 people in need received assistance across the country.
  • As an exceptional measure, a humanitarian NGO paid the debt of a family from an informal settlement to save a girl from forced marriage.
  • Five trucks carrying donated wheat were diverted by armed men in Ghor. The trucks and their cargo were able to continue their way following the intervention of local elders.
  • In Kunar, a civilian was killed handling unexploded ordnance. Such incidents underline the importance of mine clearance and mine risk education following military operations.
