Key findings: 
Because of heavy rain in different parts of Afghanistan some families affected in different parts of the country. On 20-Feb-2017 we have received a notification from Nangarhar ANDMA Directorate calling for assessing some families who were affected by the rain in Surkhrood district, on 27-feb-2017 NRC and ANDMA representatives assessed 5 families among which 3 of them whose houses were partially damaged and they had lost their food, NFI and Kitchen items, were considered eligible for emergency assistance. Total individuals for this caseload is 19 people; as 3 families and 19 people the average household size for this caseload is 6.33 person 100% of the beneficiaries has listed food as their first priority, 100% of them listed NFIs as second priority and 100% of them followed by winterization and health as their third priority needs. Recommendations: Base on assessment team’s observations, the families to be provided food and nonfood assistance
