HEAT assessment for Natural Disaster affected population in Narang and Khaskunar districts of Kunar Province (13 Feb 17)

Key findings: 
Due to recent rainfall and snowfall in Afghanistan, many families were affected in different parts of the country which also include Kunar provinces. Based in the destructions the governor of Kunar called a PDMC meeting on 06 Feb 2017 to plan for delivering assistance to the affected people. Based on the decision taken in the meeting NRC started assessment in Kunar province Khas Kunar and Narang districts; the assessment was leaded by NRC and ANDMA. The team found 4 families affected by the rainfall in khas Kunar and Narang district. The houses of these families were damaged and their home appliances and food stock were lost. As 4 families and 20 individuals, the average household size for this caseload is 5.00 persons. 100% of the beneficiaries has listed food as their first priority followed by NFI and winterization as their second and third priorities. Recommendations: Base on assessment team’s observations, the families are living in bad condition therefore the team recommended them for emergency assistance.
