HEAT assessment for conflict IDPs in Asadabad District of Kunar province (05 Jan 2017)

Key findings: 
In response to a petition received from DoRR Kunar, a joint assessment was conducted on 02-05/Jan/2017, and found 10 HH eligible for emergency response. The families have displaced from unsecure areas of Watapur,Noorgal,Dangam and Shigal wa Shultan districts of Kunar province, as they were threaten and tortured by armed groups in the areas where they were living, the members of those families were working for the government in various sections so they have been said to leave the jobs with government, if no, you should have leave the village as we are not going to let you live here anymore, finally they have decided to move into secure places in Asadabad. As these families were left all home appliances including food,NFI, hygiene kits etc, and living in rented houses in a very bad conditions, so based on the assessment findings the emergency team recommended them for emergency response. Recommendations: As these families were living in a bad condition, so during assessment the joint assessment team found them eligible for emergency response, it includes cash for NFI, Food and winterization, AFN 20000 per family and should be provided by NRC.
