HEAT Assessment for IDPs in Kunduz city of Kunduz Province (23 Oct 2018)

To identify Chardara IDPs in Kunduz city.

HEAT Assessment
Key findings: 
On 24 September 2018, ANSF launched a military operation supported by IM airstrikes in Nahri Sofi and Dobandi villages of Chardara district. This is the fifth round of military operation in the last two months that have been conducted in Chardara district. DoRR reports that 2359 families have submitted petitions indicating that they were displaced from Chardara district to Kunduz city since 23 September 2018. The number of petitions are increasing rapidly due to ongoing military operation. The mentioned IDPs are living in rented or relatives’ houses. They are seeking humanitarian aid and protection. From 26 Sep- 23 Oct 2018, the JAT assessed 1728 families and verified 333 IDP families. Assessment completed.
