HEAT Assessment for Flood Affected Families in Kunduz city of Kunduz Province (02 October 2017)

To identify flood affected families in Kunduz city.

Key findings: 
SCI reported that due water overflow in Ibrahim Khel canal in Kunduz city about 30 houses affected on 2 October 2017. Reportedly on 2 Oct at 1:00 AM early morning the protection wall of main canal in Ibrahim Khel area cricked due to overflow. The direction of water diverted and affected Awalmeer village in Ibrahim Khel area. At the same date OCHA coordinated one joint assessment team consists of SCI, NRC, DACAAR, IDSH/WFP, ANDMA and DoRR and conducted assessment. They assessed 30 families and verified only 13 flood affected families in the area and they are in need of humanitarian assistance.
