HEAT assessment for conflict IDPs in Kunar Province (26 August 2018)

Subject/Objective:
HEAT assessment of Confilict IDPs in Asadabad, Chapardara, Dara-e-Pech and Watapur districts
Methodology:
Direct Observation
Key findings:
The Joint assessment team (PUI, WFP, APA, DACAAR and DoRR) recommends a Top Up assistance for all eligible HHs for their basic needs. • WFP will cover two months in kind food assistance for all the HHs, • PUI will therefore deduct the corresponding amount of 12,000 AFN from the SMEB according to ERM8 Common Rationale and will provide the balance (16000 AFN) as MPCA. The MPCA will be provided in one installment to ensure the households are able to meet their other basic needs (NFIs, shelter rent, health, Transportation, fuel, etc). • Other specific needs, identified during the assessment, will be covered by partners (APA for protection needs, DACAAR for WASH) • PUI will also refer the IPA cases to other partners through the PSN network, when the families match the criteria according to ERM8 common rationale.
