HEAT assessment for conflict IDPs in Kunar province (20 June 2018)

IDPs Joint Needs Assessment in Kunar Province

Direct Observation

Key findings:

Joint assessment team (PU-AMI, WFP, APA, DACAAR and DoRR) recommends Top Up assistance for all eligible HHs for their
basic needs.
 WFP will cover two months in kind food assistance for all the HHs,
 PU-AMI will therefore deduct the corresponding amount (12,000 AFN) from the SMEB according to ERM8 Common
Rationale and will provide the balance as MPCA. The MPCA will be provided in one installment to ensure the
households are able to meet their other basic needs (NFIs, shelter rent, health, Transportation, fuel, etc).
 Other specific needs, identified during the assessment, will be covered by partners (APA for protection needs,
DACAAR for Wash)
 PU-AMI will also cover the IPA cases when the families match the criteria according to ERM8 common rationale.
PU-AMI will support IPA cases with cash support and also referral to another partner trough PSN network.
