HEAT assessment for conflict IDPs in Asadabad District of Kunar province (18 May 2017)

Key findings: 
After a petition received from DoRR through UN-OCHA, the affected households displaced from Hilalzo village of Shigal district, they were working for government as local police, the AOG’s warned them many times, sent them warning letters to leave working with government or leave the area as they had no sufficient income or economic status to leave the area and live at other places and rent a house, after they get the last warning letter, it was really hard for them to live in that area any more, they decided to go somewhere and finally moved to Sagai village of Asadabad, they left all home appliances and assets including livelihood at their place of origin and just saved their lives, The joint assessment team found 5 HH which makes a total of 30 individuals and the average size of the household is 6 persons, eligible for emergency response. Recommendations: Based on the assessment team’s findings the above mentioned households’ are recommended for emergency response
