ERM IDP Assessment Report - Akhta Khana, Chaghcharan District

Key findings: 
On the 14th October 2014, ACF received a formal letter from DoRR. This letter informed the organization that 30 families had fled from Gash Sangi and Jar Sork villages (Chagchanran district) and were currently settling in Akhta Khana. ACF team then called PDMC partners (DoRR, ANDMA, ASR and ARRA) in order to launch a joint assessment on the 15th October September 2014. ACF team (one team leader and four field officers (three men and one woman) went to Akhta Khana in order to carry out one Focus Group Discussion with IDPs household representative, CDC representatives and Shoura;family interviews to ensure that those families were real IDPs and were respecting the criterion; Latrine assessment; Market assessment, and direct observation in the area. They were accompanied by with ANDMA and DAIL. After discussion with the CDC and IDPs representatives; and based on the Household questionnaires, it turns out that total number of IDPs families is 31.
