DACAAR ERM Assessment Ghazni Province (15-20 August 2016)

Key findings: 

On 9 August 2016, OCHA shared petition of 120 IDPs Families for assessment in Ghazni City, on 14 August 2016, the figure of IDP reached to 811 IDP families on the same day OCT members reviewed the pettiness in DoRR office and conducted face to face interview with the IDP representatives and finally accepted a list of 392 IDP Families for further assessment. Decisions made to deploy a joint assessment team. On 15th August 2016, DRC, DoRR, CTG, WSTA started joint need assessment of 392 Families which was completed on 20th August 2016, and as result identified 75 eligible families (67 genuine IDPs and 8 forced undocumented returnees), Among them, 56 families were displaced from Andar, Gellan, Giro, Moqor and Qarabagh districts of Ghazni province, 4 families were diplaced from Sayed Abad and Jeghato districts of Maidan Wardak province, 7 families from Urozgan, while 1 family was displaced from Helmand province during last six months due to conflict i.e. lack of security and threats . 8 families were forced returnees who were most vulnerable. They were returned from Balochistan in a week had left every things behind. All identified families live in rented houses and some of them with their relatives.
All identified families claimed that they have not received any assistance yet, the assessment result and direct observation indicated their priority needs as Food, NFIs and WASH.
