Afghanistan_Kunduz SMART Survey Dec 2019

Subject/Objective: 

The overall objective of the survey is to assess the nutrition situation of under-five children and women in childbearing age, crude and under-five retrospective death rates in Kunduz province.

Methodology: 

The survey design was cross-sectional using SMART methodology, following two stages cluster sampling method for the province.

The household sample size for this survey was determined by using ENA for SMART software version 2011 (updated 9th July 2015). The sample size used was 468 households. Tables 2 and Table 3 highlights the parameters used for sample size calculation for anthropometric and mortality surveys;
