Subject/Objective: 
  • Assessing the impact of the dam damage on the local community.
  • Assessing the humanitarian situation in the affected areas
  • Identifying the availability and quality of basic services in the affected areas.
  • Assessing the basic needs of the affected population 
  • Identifying different sectors; health, nutrition, WASH, education, CP, NFIs and FSL indicators
Methodology: 
  • The team used simple assessment tools or questionnaire for primary data.
  • Focus group discussion organized for different sectors during the visit
  • Interview with key informants or with key staff or committees that have been established at locality level
  • Random visit to different social facilities including hospitals, water facilities, schools and the floods affected areas.
  • Direct observation during the visit.
  • Transect walks through the town, market and the dam.
