While managing your content in your website, sometime you need to display a block in you home-page or cluster page where you need to display your own content i.e. some text highlight, an image with text or links to the other content. This is possible by adding custom content block to you page.

Example: Suppose we want to add a block ‘Emergency in Focus’ which has an image and some text underneath.

NOTE: Please note that only site manager having ‘Manager’ role will be able to perform the following steps;

Use the following steps to add custom content to your desired page;

  1. Login to your site with ‘Manager’ role
  2. Go to your desired page. At the bottom of the page click on the ‘Customize this page’.

  3. See the block in the page with light blue background color and dotted lines. Click on the ‘+’ sign to add contacts to the box as shown in the screenshot below.

  4. In the ‘Add content to the First column’ window, select ‘Custom content’ then click on add "Free text" as highlighted in the screenshot below.

  5. In the ‘Configure new New custom content’ window, provide the necessary details such as;
    • Title of the block. In this example the title will be ‘‘Emergency in Focus’
    • In the Body section, add the actual content that you need as custom content. Here you can insert the text, image and links to other content. You can also align the text and image by double clicking on the image and choose the alignment option.
    • Select the Finish button to save your work.
  6. If you have followed the above steps correctly, you will see a new custom block added to the page. See the screenshot below with highlighted block.

Changing the background of the block
