Bring on the data: we now show datasets from HDX

We are pleased to announce the integration of and the Humanitarian Data Exchange.

Data managers and data collection organizations are now able to upload their datasets to HDX directly, and have them appear automatically on This means it’s now faster to get your data in front of a wider audience.

The Humanitarian Data Exchange (HDX) is an open platform for sharing data with a goal of  making humanitarian data easy to find and use for analysis. Launched in July 2014, HDX is used by people in over 200 countries and territories. aims to be a central location where members of the local humanitarian response community can quickly find the information they need. For those working with data, you will also be able to find data from a wider community of data collection experts without having to leave the website.

The Common and Fundamental Operational Datasets, which were housed on Humanitarian, have been migrated to HDX in order to provide a single platform for humanitarian data.

If you are a data manager from a recognized organization and want to upload your dataset, we recommend that you start with the HDX’s FAQs.

Developers who are integrating with’s dataset API should now move over to the HDX API. We will be discontinuing the dataset API on 1 February 2016.
